Experience
Nicholas MacInnis is an Associate in the Professional Practices Group in the firm’s New York office. His practice primarily focuses on advising and representing architects, engineers and other design professionals in drafting, negotiating and evaluating design service agreements. Nicholas provides proactive risk management services including presentation of industry innovations and legal developments; restructuring and redrafting contracts; and negotiating disputes in advance of litigation. He also has significant experience handling contractual and coverage matters related to construction disputes at all stages of litigation, including handling depositions, hearings and motion practice.
Prior to joining Donovan Hatem, Nicholas was an Associate practicing commercial litigation at DeCicco, Gibbons & McNamara, P.C. While in law school, Nicholas served the Honorable Patti B. Saris as a judicial intern in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He was also a law clerk intern for the Justices of Superior Court in the Suffolk County Massachusetts Superior Court.
