Attorney
Litigation Associate
We are seeking experienced attorneys to join the firm in both our Boston and New York offices. In this role, the attorney will evaluate, manage and monitor significant, complex disputes and litigation matters on a national basis, engage in risk management of potential claims, develop litigation and resolution strategies, report to clients, manage local counsel and experts and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic activities. You will also develop liability exposure for insureds, managing all aspects of litigation including attendance at mediations, arbitrations and trials. Candidate should have 3-5 years’ litigation experience, preferably within the construction industry and, in particular, with design and construction professionals.
Claims Management Associate
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our Claims Management practice. In this role, the attorney will evaluate, manage and monitor significant, complex disputes and litigation matters on a national basis, engage in risk management of potential claims, develop litigation and resolution strategies, report to clients, manage local counsel and experts and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic activities. Candidate should have 3-5 years’ experience, preferably within the construction industry and, in particular, with design and construction professionals.

The firm has developed and implemented practice skills and substantive knowledge training programs, as well as a mentoring program aimed at addressing associate professional needs. Attorney Mentorship Program
Donovan Hatem’s associate mentoring program focuses on integrating new associates into the firm and their individual practice. Each new associate is assigned a partner mentor responsible for welcoming the new lawyer to the firm, providing guidance on firm policies and procedures, training the associate on firm best practices, coaching with feedback and performance monitoring, and teaching the necessary skills and practice knowledge for continued success.

Summer Law Clerk Program
Law clerks with Donovan Hatem will spend the majority of their time working with partners and associates in the firm’s Boston office on litigation matters involving design professionals. Clerks perform a myriad of tasks such as conducting legal research, preparing memoranda and drafting motions.
