Thomas A. Mountain
Tom Mountain represents clients in a wide variety of complex matters involving products liability, personal injury/negligence, toxic torts, breach of warranty, employment disputes, premises liability, and professional liability. He has represented individuals, corporations and insurance companies in virtually all aspects of litigation in federal and state courts.
In products liability litigation, Tom has defended the design, manufacturing, and performance of a diverse range of products including power tools; passenger and commercial vehicles; forklifts; turbines and generators; and machinery and other products associated with manufacturing plants, paper mills, power plants, and commercial & military ships and aircraft.
Tom’s prior experience includes ten years in private practice with mid-sized Boston firms; and six years as a litigation paralegal and a litigation manager at Electric Insurance Co. (“EIC”), a business unit of General Electric. While at EIC, Tom managed the defense of complex, multi-party toxic tort and environmental claims against General Electric in 14 states. Through his work on behalf of G.E. and other major corporations, Tom has developed exceptional insight into client needs and expectations. He utilizes this insight, combined with hard work and attention to detail to achieve the best possible result for each client, whether through settlement, motion practice or trial.
