December Roundtable – Do Design Professionals Own the Risk of Climate Change?
PLEASE BE ADVISED: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. A NEW DATE WILL BE POSTED SOON.
Climate change has introduced an element of uncertainty into a profession that has, until recently, been able to rely on past trends to inform design decisions. Although the full impact of climate change has yet to be realized, we are already observing impacts to the built environment – both in Boston and across the globe. This has created professional liability risks for design professionals and a need to design differently within the new paradigm.
Join us on December 6th to learn how climate change relates to the professional standard of care, and how effective risk management strategies incorporate resilience measures into design.
Our speakers include:
- Abbie Goodman, ACEC/MA Executive Director, Chief of External Affairs, ACEC
- Patricia B. Gary, Of Counsel, Donovan Hatem LLP
- Lisa Dickson, Associate Prinicpal and Director of Resilience, Arup
This program will be held on Thursday, December 6th at the Boston Harbor Hotel from 7:30AM to 9:30AM. If you would like to register for this event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
